40° Anniversario del Gemellaggio Costa Masnaga - Clonmel

The bond between Costa Masnaga and the Irish city of Clonmel is one of the most cherished twinnings in the Lecco Brianza region. Established in 1986 in memory of Carlo Bianconi, born in Tregolo in 1786 and who became famous in Ireland as a transport pioneer, the pact is kept alive over the years through cultural exchanges, institutional visits, school projects, and associative collaborations.

The two communities periodically renew their friendship with joint meetings and initiatives. The most important event is the celebration of the 40th anniversary, scheduled for June 2026 with three days of festivities.
