Edition 2025 — Traversata della Nonna

In 2025, the Traversata della Nonna had not yet been created: its first edition is scheduled for 2026. However, Lake Orta and the village of Ronco di Pella boast a long tradition of open-water swimming, fueled by the numerous events of the Nobile dei Laghi circuit that animate the Cusio region and the pre-Alpine lakes every year with crossings and swims open to athletes of all levels.

Towards the first Traversata della Nonna

The Traversata della Nonna debuts in 2026: before that date, it had not yet taken place in Ronco di Pella (NO). Lake Orta remains, however, one of the hubs for open-water swimming in Piedmont, thanks to the Nobile dei Laghi circuit, which for years has offered crossings and swims on the waters of the Cusio and other pre-Alpine lakes.

The creation of this new event in 2026 fits into this established tradition, enriching the calendar of Pella and the municipality of Pella within the province of Novara.
