Edition 2025 — 100 Presepi
The 8th edition, in the Jubilee year
Inaugurated on the afternoon of December 8, 2025, the eighth edition of 100 Presepi in Vaticano accompanied the entire Christmas period until Epiphany, under Bernini's Colonnade in St. Peter's Square. The exhibition, promoted by the Dicastery for Evangelization, was included in the cultural program of the Holy Year and adopted hope—the theme of the Jubilee Bull of Indiction—as its guiding thread.
On display were 132 nativity scenes from 23 countries, created by artists, artisans, associations, and schools: terracotta and carved wood nativities, papier-mâché and fabric works, nativity scenes made from recycled materials, and contemporary reinterpretations of the Nativity scene. Admission remained free and without booking for the entire duration of the exhibition, with daily continuous hours and early closures on December 24th and 31st.
The final tally exceeded 290,000 visitors, confirming the exhibition as one of the most popular Christmas events in Rome.
