Feast of Saint George the Martyr

In 2025, the patronal feast of Saint George the Martyr in Dorio was held from April 24 to 28. Thursday, April 24th, marked the start with the recitation of the rosary; Friday, April 25th, featured a historical conference on the life and iconography of Saint George, presented by historian Roberto Pozzi through images and stories, from Russian icons to the great masters of painting; Saturday, April 26th, included community prayer, a procession, and the bonfire; Sunday, April 27th, at 3:30 PM, saw the procession, the solemn Holy Mass, the lighting of the Phalum, and the auction of baskets, accompanied by the local musical band; Monday, April 28th, concluded with the rosary at the cemetery and a Mass for the deceased.
