Every year, in mid-August, Tezze sul Brenta (province of Vicenza) gathers for the Sagra di San Rocco, the great village festival revolving around the feast day of the patron saint San Rocco, on August 16th. It is the community's most anticipated summer event, drawing thousands of people from across the Brenta plain.
A food stand for a thousand people
The heart of the festival is the large marquee in Via Don Antonio Belluzzo, with over a thousand seats. The food stand opens every evening, offering the great classics of Venetian cuisine: seafood spaghetti, gnocchi, bigoli with ragù, and bigoli with duck among the first courses; mixed grill with sausages, braised meat, and ribs, accompanied by polenta and beans, among the main courses. There's also a wine bar with about twenty wines on tap, a beer stand, a sandwich bar, a cocktail bar, and Nardini grappas, as well as desserts, a charity raffle, and a lottery.
Music, dancing, and a funfair
The festival features two musical vibes: the stage for young people, with concerts and DJ sets, and the dance stage with a steel dance floor, orchestras, and dance schools. Completing the atmosphere are the funfair and a photographic exhibition dedicated to the history of the territory and the Brenta riverbanks. An event that blends popular devotion, gastronomy, and entertainment, deeply rooted in the identity of Tezze sul Brenta.

For 2026, the Sagra di San Rocco is expected, as every year, in August, coinciding with the patron saint's feast day in Tezze sul Brenta (August 16th). Following the pattern of recent editions — held from August 13th to 18th — the festival should occupy a similar slot in mid-month.
The proven formula is confirmed: a food stand in the large marquee on Via Don Antonio Belluzzo, a stage for young people with concerts and DJ sets, a dance stage, a funfair, and a photographic exhibition.
