About Pasquarola

Pasquarola is the unique Caldarola way of celebrating Easter Monday: instead of the usual day trip, the entire town gathers in the heart of the center for an afternoon of festivities. Organized by Pro Loco Caldarola, the event enlivens Viale Umberto I with markets, children's entertainment, bouncy castles, workshops, traditional flavors, and music, culminating in a grand evening finale. It's a cherished event that unites different generations and keeps the social spirit alive in this village in the Macerata hinterland, in the Marche region.

A Different Easter Monday, in the Heart of Caldarola

Pasquarola is the festival with which Caldarola, a small village in the Province of Macerata in the Marche region, reinvents Easter Monday. The name itself, an affectionate play on "Pasqua" (Easter) and "Pasquetta" (Easter Monday), tells the spirit of the event: instead of dispersing on traditional day trips, the community chooses to stay and gather in the village, transforming a day of celebration into an occasion for collective sharing.

Where it Takes Place

The stage for the event is Viale Umberto I, one of the main arteries of the town center, which for an afternoon is closed to traffic and becomes a large outdoor party space. The choice of the avenue, after the difficult years following the 2016 earthquake, has symbolic value: bringing life and people back to the village streets.

What to Expect

Pasquarola is a festival designed for all ages. Along the avenue, you'll find:

  • Markets featuring local crafts and products;
  • Children's entertainment, with bouncy castle areas and workshops;
  • Food stalls with traditional flavors, such as stracciaporte;
  • Games, shows, and music that accompany the afternoon into the evening.

The most anticipated moment is the late afternoon tombola (bingo), a true collective ritual, followed by the grand musical finale that closes the day joyfully.

A Festival Made by the Community

Pasquarola is organized by the Pro Loco Caldarola with the patronage of the Municipality and is born from the collaboration of numerous local associations: Crescere Insieme, Nuovo Oratorio Cristo Re, Infiorata di Caldarola, Caritas, CIF, and AVIS. It is precisely this network of volunteers that makes the festival an authentic event, where the proceeds from many initiatives are reinvested in the local area and in activities for children.

Why It's Worth Attending

More than a grand spectacular event, Pasquarola is a genuine village festival, ideal for those who want to discover the authentic atmosphere of the Marche hinterland away from the more touristy destinations. It's the perfect opportunity to spend Easter Monday with family, immersed in the life of a community that makes conviviality its distinctive feature.

Pasquarola — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of Pasquarola took place on Monday, April 6, Easter Monday, starting at 2 PM along Viale Umberto I in Caldarola. A day of widespread celebration with markets, entertainment for all ages, bouncy castle areas, workshops, traditional flavors, tombola, and a concluding musical performance, organized by Pro Loco Caldarola with the collaboration of numerous local associations.

Pasquarola 2026 was held on Monday, April 6, for Easter Monday, starting at 2 PM on Viale Umberto I, which was transformed into a large outdoor party space for the occasion. The event, organized by Pro Loco Caldarola (president Daniele Piani), involved the associations Crescere Insieme, Nuovo Oratorio Cristo Re, Infiorata di Caldarola, Caritas, CIF, and AVIS, as well as the Istituto Comprensivo Leopardi–Frau–De Magistris.

The novelty of the year was a solidarity initiative created with the children of Caldarola's kindergarten: a series of paintings on canvas inspired by the town, a personal exhibition "Caldarola in Colors," displayed and sold during the festival, with proceeds going to the school's after-school activities.
