The festival of craft beer from the Marche region at the Rancia Castle of Tolentino
The Panza Marche Beer Fest is now a regular event for craft beer enthusiasts in central Italy. The festival takes place in Tolentino, in the heart of the province of Macerata, and has chosen one of the most iconic locations in the Marche as its venue: the Rancia Castle, a 14th-century fortress set in the Macerata countryside that provides a evocative backdrop for the festival evenings.
The heart of the event is the Marche craft breweries, united under the banner of the ABM - Associazione Birrifici Marchigiani (Marche Breweries Association), co-organizer of the event with La Catasta srls. Each edition brings together about fourteen breweries from the region, offering their products to the public: from classic lagers to IPAs, from sour beers to more experimental creations. Visitors can purchase the "happy hour" kit, which includes the official glass and a series of tastings, and vote for their favorite beer, on a journey of discovery of the best of the regional brewing scene.
The Panza is not just about beer: each evening is enlivened by a rich music program spanning genres and generations, with live concerts followed by DJ sets until late at night. Accompanying the tastings is a large food truck area, with street food offerings designed to enhance pairings with craft beers. The atmosphere is that of a convivial and popular village festival, but with a particular focus on product quality.
Among the event's strengths is free admission to the festival area: you only pay for what you consume, including the tasting kit. This has helped make the Panza Marche Beer Fest one of the most attended beer festivals in the Marche, capable of attracting families, young people, and enthusiasts from all over the region and beyond to the Rancia Castle.
The fifth edition of the Panza Marche Beer Fest returned to the Rancia Castle in Tolentino on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, 2026. The winning formula was confirmed: free admission, fourteen craft breweries from the Marche region, a food truck area, and a music program that enlivened both evenings until late at night. The star was the region's craft beer, with the public having the opportunity to taste and vote for their favorites.
