About Note Insieme

A day of music and friendship between peoples: in Monte San Pietrangeli, in the heart of the province of Fermo, the "Mauro Cecchini" Band welcomes the Dutch band Harmonie Kunst Adelt from Helvoirt for the "Note Insieme" twinning concert. Under the arches of the San Francesco Cloister, the two ensembles alternate on stage before the rousing performance by the Mistrafunky Streetband. A free event celebrating a musical friendship born in 2010.

When Music Unites Two Countries

"Note Insieme" is the concert that seals the musical twinning between the "Mauro Cecchini" Band of Monte San Pietrangeli and the Dutch band Harmonie Kunst Adelt of Helvoirt. The event takes place in the evocative San Francesco Cloister, on Via Giacomo Matteotti, in the historic center of Monte San Pietrangeli, a small village in the Province of Fermo, in the Marche region.

This is not just a simple concert, but the culmination of a visit that allows the Dutch musicians to discover the Fermo area: agri-food businesses, wineries, the historic center of the village, and the beauties of nearby Ascoli Piceno provide the backdrop for a stay focused on cultural exchange.

A Friendship Born in 2010

The bond between the two bands dates back to June 2010, when the "Mauro Cecchini" Band traveled to the Netherlands for a series of concerts in Helvoirt. Years later, their Dutch friends return the visit with a true twinning, sealed by music. "Note Insieme" is the title chosen to tell the story of this meeting between different cultures that find their common ground in the universal language of notes.

The "Mauro Cecchini" Band

The band from Monte San Pietrangeli has a long and prestigious history: founded in 1872, it currently comprises about fifty members and is directed by Maestro Paolo Bisconti, with Luca Fiorelli as president. In 2009, the ensemble performed in St. Peter's Square in Rome in front of Pope Benedict XVI, a testament to the level achieved. The band adopted its current name in the 1960s, in memory of Mauro Cecchini, a young clarinettist from the town.

Three Stops in the Marche

The concert in Monte San Pietrangeli is part of a short regional tour for the Helvoirt band: the performance in the Fermo village is preceded by a concert in Porto Recanati (Friday, April 24, 9:00 PM, "E. Medi" Auditorium) and followed by an event in Ascoli Piceno (Sunday, April 26), which concludes the twinning. This initiative is supported by the Legislative Assembly of the Marche region and the involved municipal administrations.

An Event for Everyone

"Note Insieme" is a free event, designed for families and lovers of band music. After the performances by the two ensembles, the celebration continues with the energy of the Mistrafunky Streetband, a roaming group that brings funky rhythms and an engaging atmosphere to the audience. It's an opportunity to discover an authentic village in the Marche and experience the spirit of hospitality that has always characterized Monte San Pietrangeli.
