The start of the triple-discipline season
MilanoTRI is the event that inaugurates the Italian triathlon season. It takes place at the Idroscalo of Milan, in the municipality of Segrate, in the Province of Milan, and brings together races of multiple distances on the same day, from sprint to Olympic, as well as the Milano10K road race.
How to race
Triathlon is the discipline that combines three consecutive segments — swimming, cycling, and running. At MilanoTRI:
- the swimming segment takes place in the waters of the Idroscalo;
- cycling covers a fast circuit around the lake, repeated several times;
- the running is completely flat, within the Idroscalo Park.
Elite and amateurs together
With over 3,000 athletes at the start, MilanoTRI mixes high-level competition with amateur passion. It is the opening race of a prestigious triathlon circuit and attracts participants and spectators from all over Lombardy and all over Italy.
The Idroscalo setting
The artificial body of water of the Idroscalo, the "sea of Milan", is the ideal venue for an event that combines sport and spectacle: the shores allow the public to follow all race segments closely, in a festive atmosphere.
MilanoTRI — edition 2026
The MilanoTRI 2026 takes place on Saturday, April 18, at the Idroscalo of Milan, in the territory of Segrate, inaugurating the prestigious Triathlon Series of the Follow Your Passion circuit. The day brings together races of multiple distances and over 3,000 athletes, elite and amateurs, in one of the most beloved settings by Milanese people.

Day's Program
- 09:30 AM — Women's Sprint (750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run);
- 11:10 AM — Men's Sprint;
- 02:30 PM — Olympic distance (1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run);
- 07:15 PM — Milano10K, fast road race at sunset.
The Courses
The swimming takes place in the Idroscalo lake; cycling on a fast circuit around the body of water, repeated 4 times for the Olympic and 2 for the Sprint; the running is completely flat within the Idroscalo Park. Over 3,000 athletes are expected.

How to get there
Idroscalo of Milan, Via Circonvallazione Idroscalo, Segrate (MI). By car: Tangenziale Est (Eastern Ring Road), Idroscalo/Linate exit. A few minutes from Milan Linate Airport.

Online registration on the official organization website. Sprint, Olympic, and Milano10K race categories.
For spectators
Access to the park to watch the races is free. The shores of the Idroscalo allow you to follow all segments closely.
