Memorial 'Two Steps with Mauro'

A walk that is remembrance

In Romano di Lombardia (Province of Bergamo, Lombardy), the first Sunday in March is dedicated to the 'Two Steps with Mauro' Memorial, a non-competitive recreational walk organized by the association Amici dei Pompieri di Romano APS, in collaboration with the Municipality. The event is dedicated to the memory of Mauro Nicoli, a firefighter from Romano who passed away prematurely in 2021.

Three routes for everyone

The event offers three routes of 8, 16, and 21 kilometers, designed to involve walkers of all ages and fitness levels. It is not a competitive race, but a moment for gathering and well-being, where everyone can choose their own pace. The start is from Piazza Roma, in front of Palazzo Muratori, with registration and start services available from early morning.

The meaning of 'Two Steps with Mauro' goes beyond the sporting aspect.
