The festival that announces spring

When April 25th arrives, the small hamlet of Caccamo, in the Municipality of Serrapetrona (Province of Macerata, Marche), transforms into a large open-air garden. The Festival of Flowers, with its Market Exhibition of Plants and Flowers, has been the event that officially kicks off the warm season in this corner of the Monti Azzurri for over twenty years. As Mayor Silvia Pinzi likes to say, it is "a tradition that is renewed every year" and attracts visitors from outside the province as well.

Where it takes place

The heart of the festival is the area overlooking the picturesque Lake Caccamo, at the Monti Azzurri Canoe and Rowing Center. It's a unique natural setting: the water, the green of the Macerata hills, and the colorful stalls of the nursery growers create an atmosphere that combines a passion for gardening with the pleasure of a family outing.

Admission is completely free, and the event runs all day, from morning until late afternoon.
