San Michele Arcangelo (Saint Michael the Archangel) is the patron saint of Ripalimosani (CB), a village a few kilometers from Campobasso. The festival is celebrated on September 29th, the liturgical day dedicated to the Archangel, and it is one of the most cherished events in the town's calendar, marking the end of the summer season.
Faith and popular festival
The program intertwines the religious and civil dimensions. In the late afternoon, a solemn mass is celebrated, followed by a procession with the statue of the saint through the streets of the center. In the evening, the celebration moves to Piazza San Michele, where food stalls offer local flavors and where, late in the evening, the traditional tombola (lottery) is held, a moment of gathering eagerly awaited by the community.

Organized by the parish with the support of the Municipality, the San Michele Arcangelo festival is an occasion for reunion for the locals and for those who return to the village, and an event that renews the community's bond with its protector in the heart of Molise.
