The Centenaro festival

Among the hamlets of Lonato del Garda, in the province of Brescia, Centenaro celebrates its summer event with the Festa di San Luigi. A festival that, as often happens in the villages of Garda, intertwines the religious dimension with conviviality, animating the spaces of the Parrocchia Beata Maria Vergine del Rosario, on Via Centenaro, for a few days. For 2026, the festival is scheduled from July 10th to 13th.

A festival for the whole family

The program is designed to involve all ages: food stalls with traditional dishes, inflatable games for children, tournaments, and music to accompany the evenings. A simple and tested formula that makes the festival a meeting point for the hamlet and nearby towns, during the liveliest period of the Garda summer.

The spirit of the oratory

Like many hamlet festivals, the Centenaro festival originated around the oratory and the parish, the driving force of local community life. It is the volunteers, parishioners, and families who build the festival, taking care of the kitchen, games, and hospitality: a concrete example of how the small communities of the Brescia side of Garda manage to keep their traditions alive.
