Veternigo and its capusso

The Festa della Trasfigurazione e Sagra del Capusso takes place in the hamlet of Veternigo, in Santa Maria di Sala (province of Venice), in early August. The sagra gets its name from capusso – cabbage (verza) – a vegetable symbolising the area's agricultural and gastronomic tradition, celebrated here as the star of the table.
