Edition 2025 — Saint Agatha's in Tremenico
In 2025, Tremenico also celebrated its patron saint Saint Agatha with the traditional early February festival: the procession with the saint's statue carried by women in traditional costume, the musical band, the ritual burning of the ball, and convivial moments with lunches, bingo, and a dancing evening. A festival that each year brings together the community of Valvarrone.
The 2025 edition of the Saint Agatha's Festival in Tremenico, a hamlet of Valvarrone in the province of Lecco, followed the traditional structure that has marked this mountain festival for generations: the costume procession from the small church of San Carlo, accompanied by the musical band, the solemn Mass with the burning of the ball, a symbol of the saint's martyrdom, and convivial moments in a heated venue. A defining event for the entire village.
