About Este Carnival
Carnival in the Heart of Este
The Este Carnival, in the province of Padua, is a popular event that fills the historic center of Este with joy. Organized by the merchants' association Este in Centro together with the Municipality of Este, it takes place between Piazza Maggiore and Piazza Trento in the early afternoon and involves both adults and children.
A Festival for Families
The program focuses entirely on entertainment: rides, traditional Carnival sweets, street artists, creative workshops, dance performances, and the classic carousel. There's also a contest that awards the most original masks, a real draw for children and teenagers in costume.
Also in the Neighborhoods
In addition to the center, the Este Carnival extends to the various neighborhoods of the city thanks to community centers and civic halls, with magic shows, music, games, and recreational activities. A formula that makes the Este Carnival an event shared by the entire community.

The 2026 edition of the Este Carnival enlivened the historic center over three days, organized by Este in Centro and the Municipality of Este. Alongside the events in the square, the neighborhoods offered shows and workshops for families.

How to Get There
Este is reachable by car from the A13 (Monselice exit) and by train. The events are concentrated in Piazza Maggiore and Piazza Trento, in the pedestrian historic center.
Admission
Free admission. Shows take place in the afternoon, approximately from 3 PM to 7 PM.
