About Mirano Carnival

"Carnevale è... Mirano" is the widespread Carnival that for several days colours Mirano and its hamlets, from the Aldo Moro district to San Pio X, from Ballò to the grand finale in Piazza Martiri. Featuring a 1700s costume Philharmonic band, the descent of Pulcinella from the Town Hall, the Carnival Caravan, games, music, fritters and galani, it's a celebration that involves the whole community. An event of colours and tradition organised by the Municipality together with the neighbourhood committees.

A widespread Carnival in the city and its hamlets

"Carnevale è... Mirano" is the event that brings the Carnival celebration to all of Mirano, in the province of Venice, and its hamlets. The programme unfolds over several days, each set in a different district, culminating in the grand finale in Piazza Martiri della Libertà.

Seventeenth-century tradition and Pulcinella

The grand finale features the Mirano Philharmonic band in 1700s costume and the evocative descent of Pulcinella from the Town Hall, performed by CAI mountaineers. The Carnival Caravan brings together the hamlets of Ballò, Campocroce, Scaltenigo, Vetrego, and Zianigo in a procession, an explosion of masks, music, and colours.

A celebration for the community

With games, entertainment, fritters, galani, a grand costume parade for children, and theatre performances, Mirano Carnival is designed primarily for children and families. The event is organised by the Municipality of Mirano together with neighbourhood committees, parishes, and local associations.
