The Carnival of Monselice in Piazza Mazzini
Carnival in the Square is the Carnival festival that the Municipality and the Pro Loco Città di Monselice bring to Piazza Mazzini, in the heart of Monselice, in the province of Padua. An event designed for children and families, with free admission.
Shows, masks, and historical dances
The program alternates theatrical performances, masked parades with awards, 18th-century historical dances by the Gruppo Piovese, a play area, face painting, and Pro Loco stands with hot chocolate, mulled wine, and Carnival sweets.
A party for the little ones
Amidst confetti, costumes, and square entertainment, Carnival in the Square is one of the most colorful events of the Monselice winter, capable of involving adults and children in the cheerful spirit of the Venetian Carnival tradition.
Carnival in the Square — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Carnival in the Square enlivened Piazza Mazzini in Monselice on Sunday, February 15, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with additional events on Carnival days.
The program included a theatrical performance, the masked parade with awards, 18th-century historical dances by the Gruppo Piovese of Piove di Sacco, a play area, and face painting, as well as the Pro Loco stand with hot chocolate and mulled wine. A free admission party for children and families.

- 2:30 PM — "Carnevale in Ruzzante", photographic experience at Officina Ruzzante
- 3:00 PM — Theatrical performance with Enrico Vanzella
- Masked parade open to all with final awards
- Historical dances by the Gruppo Piovese of the 18th century
- Play area, face painting, and Pro Loco stand with hot chocolate and mulled wine
