Este Returns to the Middle Ages

At the Court of the Este is the grand historical-medieval re-enactment in Este (province of Padua), which for a weekend at the end of April transforms the evocative Carrarese Castle into a 13th-century court. The Re-enacted History

The re-enactment celebrates the return of Marquis Azzo VII d'Este in 1257, a key episode in the city's history, culminating in the representation of the battle for the fall of Este by the Da Romano. Within the castle walls, costumed figures, ladies, and knights recreate the atmosphere of medieval Este.

Shows, Music, and Tavern

The program combines fire shows, Celtic music, historical parades, archery and siege weapon demonstrations, period dances, and medieval games. The medieval camp, craft workshops, and tavern complete an immersive experience designed for families and history enthusiasts.
