Since 1977, the great celebration of agriculture in the Brescia region
The Agricultural Fair and Feast of Saint Christina in Calvisano, a municipality in the province of Brescia in the lower plain, is one of the longest-standing events in the area: since 1977, it has celebrated agriculture, human labor, and rural traditions. For an entire weekend, the town center transforms into a large open-air stage.
The heart of the fair lies in the exhibitions of agricultural machinery, equipment, and vintage tractors, alongside thematic displays and areas dedicated to ancient crafts. A continuous dialogue between past and present that tells the agricultural identity of Calvisano and the Brescia plain.
Among the most beloved attractions are the Calvisius sturgeon, world-renowned protagonist of Calvisano's caviar, and the Greased Pole, a traditional game that tests the most daring. There is also space for honey, with Paganini apiary, winner of the Goccia d'Oro, featured in a dedicated tasting on Sunday morning.
Closing the event on Sunday evening, a spectacular fireworks display illuminates the Calvisano sky: a low-noise "Baroque" show, designed to be respectful of animals and the environment. A spectacular finale for a celebration that combines tradition, fun, and taste.
The 2026 edition takes place on March 7 and 8: events begin Saturday afternoon, with Sunday being animated for the entire day.
